Morning Manna…
Morning Manna, I hunger for a word from You. I’m having trouble entering this day with joy. Pressures of work and the personalities of people have taxed my energy. Emotionally I feel edgy, mentally I feel scattered and physically I feel worn.
To find afresh Your words and to gather them as a handmaiden filling her harvest basket brings me hope. Hope for new strength, balanced emotions and single-mindedness.
May I taste and see that you are good. Feed me, Lord, that I might grow in grace towards others and rise up strong in You. Amen.
“I have heard the complaints of the children of Isreal. Speak to them, saying, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. And you shall know that I am the Lord your God.'” Exodus 16:12
Patsy, I hear your prayers…as a Pastors wife, mother of three girls and a full time preschool teacher I’m feeling a little scattered as well. Having so many hats to wear can sometimes wear me out!! Today I would love to just feed on some of His fresh manna!! 🙂 I also thought it funny to wake this morning, check facebook and see you use the word Manna, I’m now leading a group of women from our church in a Bilble Study by Beth Moore called “A Woman’s Heart God’s Dwelling Place”….we are now at the place of God giving the Isrealites His “Manna”!!! God bless you today as you serve Him!! 🙂
Patsy,
My wife loves to listen to what you have to share. Quite often she will share about “Patsy!” I’ve heard the stories and listened with her as we’ve watched on YouTube. She even has me following you on Twitter. You are truly a joy and a blessing to her and I. As I read “Morning Manna” your prayer echoed exactly where I find myself this morning. Thank you for sharing from your heart and encouraging this husband and pastor.
YES IM GOING THOUH ALOT AND HAVENT HAD TIME TO CRY…..NOW I HAVE….THANK YOU…..
I pray you fill that harvest basket of HOPE and STRENGTH and BALENCED EMOTIONs for my friend Jane that just found out she has breast cancer today. Fill me too Lord so I can say the right things instead of mental scatter…to support her…and the rest of your prayer P, ditto! Jesus loves us….this I know….
