My husband drinks and so we don’t do any socialising together. I do quilt of the month at a shop and have friends I get together with once a month. I didn’t start doing this until I was diagnosed with Multiple Myaloma and had a stem cell transplant to go into remisson, which worked. Praise God!!. But I finally realised
that it was my life I was wasteing, by not doing things that I wanted to do with people that loved the lord as I do, I was not in Gods will.
I pray my husband will come back to serving the Lord but until then I am going to enjoy the life I have left. He may wast the rest of his and miss out on all the joy that is here, with the grandkids and church family. That is his choice.

As I watch the young people walking down the road with texting with their Blackberry’s or plugs in their ears listen to their ipods. I feel so sorry for them.
I remember walking home from school and listening to the world talk. Or walking with the friend and listening to her talk. And now I too love the quiet so I can listen to God talk. It is all relational and that is what God wants is a relationship with us. I pray for the young people to become unpluged from their technology and to plug into what is greater. The voice of God.

I love Fall! It’s my favorite season. I agree with you Patsy about the smell of coffee and cinnamon in the kitchen. And pumpkin bread! Beautiful post!
