Different strokes for different folks!
I personally light up with creativity under the tutelage of Ken Gires pen. His marriage of words, his poetic perspective, and his substantive heart stirs the scribe within me. Ken’s craftsmanship encourages me to be more congruent, relevant, and timeless in my writerly scratches.
Randy Elrod’s approach to the beauty in this world stokes a bonfire of ideas in my head. He’s smart, edgy, innovative and investigative. With Randy’s perceptive eye and seeing heart he captures in his work both on canvas and written page what others of us miss. For me Randy’s watercolor pallet drips in artistic wonder, which stirs my desire to look more closely and feel more deeply the world around me.
And a few of my head-over-heels story tellers are Francine Rivers, Ian Cron, and Andy Andrews. I so appreciate their ability to not just write a story but to take me with them into the adventure. I like to feel a story and these masterminds know how to highlight their characters without being verbose or sappy. They are relevant story-ists designing friends to accompany us on our journey and at times to even help tote our luggage.
Place your mind in the company of stimulating writers, painters, photographers and allow them to stoke your thoughts and stir the embers of your artistic fervor.
Do you have a book on your shelf that never fails to ignite your creativity? Is it time to reread it?
